In 2025, Regilio and Lucas started building Checkly for Locavore NXT — a renowned restaurant hub in Ubud, Bali. The challenge was clear: manage attendance, shifts, and HR operations across a growing hospitality group without tools that fit how business actually works here.

The existing HR platforms were either too complex, too expensive, or not built for the reality of running business in Southeast Asia — multiple locations, flexible shift patterns, diverse contract types, and a workforce that moves between venues. So they built their own.

What started as an internal tool for Locavore NXT quickly became something bigger. With plans to expand across Locavore Group outlets, the platform had to scale — and it did. Icha, HR Manager at Locavore Group, joined the team to bring her deep operational expertise. Her experience managing HR across hospitality venues shaped Checkly into a product that solves real problems, not theoretical ones.
